Frequently Asked Questions
The process is simple! Choose your frame size, style of frame, book a date, and checkout on my website. Check your email for confirmation, you will receive shipping info if you are shipping your bouquet, or you will be asked to book a time and date to drop off your bouquet.
Then WildBloom&Koe will work hard for the next few weeks to preserve and press your florals to create a beautiful keepsake. As soon as the final frame is done, we will ship out/deliver to you to enjoy in your home.
Yes! They may change in shape, size, color, and of course their texture will change as they are being dried and pressed. Each flower is unique and we cannot control how they may turn out, even if we do the same exact thing every single time. It is pretty special to that no two flowers will end up the same.
As long as we get them with in the 5 days of your event we will do our best to assess the florals upon receiving the bouquet. We may be able to work with them still, only work with some of the florals, or not be able to work with them at all, but will be in open and transparent communication to ensure we can provide you with an end product you love.
Turnaround time may vary as I want to dedicate the time to each flower needs for the best results. Flowers vary in their drying stage and need a lot of TLC during the pressing process. Reconstructing florals and creating your special keepsake all takes patience, attention to detail, and time. Typical turnarounds will be between 3-5 months. If yours is done sooner we will send it out immediately. This timeline is necessary to ensure the flowers are completely dry and in the best condition for your special keepsake as well as given the time and attention they need when framing to create a beautiful work of art! I want to give attention to each flower and frame and not rush anything. Can’t wait for you to receive your frame!
I need your florals ASAP! We will get the best results the fresher the flowers are. I prefer to have them the day after your event, in certain cases I know that may not be possible, so as long as flowers are received in good shape between 2-5 days after your event. If you are shipping the florals they MUST be overnighted, no exceptions. It will be important to keep your flowers hydrated, in the cool, and out of direct sun light as much as possible.
Most flowers can be pressed, however, there are some elements that don't work for pressing. Flowers with thick, multi- layered petals can be more difficult to flatten completely and may require more time with careful handling. A few billy balls, pincushion protea, pinecones, cactus, succulents, dried flowers or artificial flowers, and more may not be pressable due to thickness or moisture level. Any small charms, pendants, etc. cannot be pressed into the frame with your florals. Please email me if you have any other questions regarding this.
Also known as conservation glass, is designed to protect and enhance the presentation of artwork, photographs and other framed items. They offer an anti-reflection, UV protection ( super important to diminish the fading of the florals), clarity, and minimizing glare and preserving the artworks colors and details. All of my work comes with the UV glass automatically.
This is probably one of the most asked questions and although I wish I could, unfortunately, I cannot. Once the bouquet is dry we are not able to press florals as they would simply fall apart. There are some options, we are happy to recreate a bouquet or although not on my website we can look to put them in a glass vase to further preserve and protect your bouquet.
Yes, flowers will fade. It is important to note that I do NOT do any color corrections on any of the florals. All florals are naturally pressed and preserved. It is also good to note that all florals preserved turn out uniquely different. It is normal for them to fade in color, can change colors, and may even continue to fade over the years.
Yes! We do lots of other keepsakes with our flowers. We can do a memorial piece, anniversary flowers, birth gift, nursery gifts, or just some floral artwork for you home! If there is something you have in mind that is not listed on our website send me a message we may be open to custom orders if we can make it work.
